Youth Ministry

The expectations for the upcoming fiscal year are to increase youth attendance, teach Science of Mind principles to children in a way that they can relate them to their everyday actions, and provide a fun atmosphere while building their self-esteem and spiritual awareness.

I plan to accomplish this by using children's stories and storybooks, along with multi-media presentations to stress the Science of Mind concepts. I will open their minds to ways they can better serve their community, schools, environment, church and world.

Last year, we had a very successful and fun-filled summer kid's camp where they learned tolerance and celebrated diversity. This year we staged an Easter Egg Hunt that everyone, including the adults, thoroughly enjoyed and ended up lasting longer than planned. I want to continue these types of activities while incorporating creative ideas to keep their interest. Due to a generous contribution from Walt King, the nursery is now warm, inviting, colorful and fun. My goal is to keep it a great place to come to and learn and enjoy while doing it.
