Mary N. Harrison

How did you first get interest in New Thought/Religious Science?
My friend Dolly Carlstrom had on several occasions invited me to visit her church and I kept promising her that I would but never did. Then in March of 2004 Dolly attended a party at my home and brought a friend, Betty Greathouse. Between the two of them telling me what a wonderful place CLF was, I surrendered and agreed to attend service the following Sunday. They were right, and I have been here every since.

Who are some of your most significant teachers/mentors?
Dr. Michele, of course, but I believe that each of the instructors here, in one way or another, have influenced me and contributed to my spiritual growth.

Do you have an area (such as health, prosperity, pets, etc.) that you are drawn to?
I have not yet identified a particular area of interest. I am hoping the Pastoral Care Program will help me with this. But whatever it is, my goal will be to support CLF and this spiritual community.

Do you prefer to work face-to-face, over the phone or other ways?
At this particular time I prefer to work face-to-face. But I am so new at this, that I am sure with time and experience I will develop more flexibility.

How long have you been a Practitioner?
Since March of 2008.

Are you a native of Arizona?
No, I was born in Alabama and lived there until I was 12. We then moved to White Plains, NY, where I lived until I was 21. Then I moved to Los Angeles, CA for 10 years, then back to White Plains for 12 years, then back to Los Angeles for 17 years. I finally retired to Phoenix on January 1, 1993.

Did you start in another religion?
My early years in Alabama, when I lived with my dad and stepmother, we attended a Methodist church. When I moved to White Plains to live with my mother, I attended a Baptist church. When I became an adult I was a Presbyterian for a while, until I discovered Metaphysics. Then everything changed.

What is your greatest joy about being a Practitioner?
I am so new at this that I believe I am yet to experience it, but so far I love it when a client gets that shift in consciousness and awareness happens and you can see it in their face. It is thrilling.
